Guitar 101 (but I'm not teaching anyone anything)

Well since the beginning of the year I'm been practicing with my guitar trying to build up my finger strength and relearn the CAGED chords. I do a few of the exercises I found in some Guitar World DVDs and a couple Instructional DVDs I own. Being a little older than most people trying to learn to play I feel its taking me a lot longer to catch on to this than it should but I do think I'm getting better. The guitar I use most of the time is my Fender Strat. It was made in Mexico and it plays and sounds great. It would sound better if I could learn a song (Which I'm working on). I have a little Crate XT15R I use with it, which is a nice little practice amp. I have this setup right in the living room and can pick up and play while watching an instructional DVD or my favorite TV show. What more could you ask for.

Getting Started

This is my first stab at blogging. Not sure what I'm going to be blogging about or how often, I guess I'll figure that out as I go along. A couple of the things I will be blogging about for sure is Geocaching and the trials of trying to teach myself to play guitar. More later....
